Ineco is designing what will be Greece’s second largest airport, after the one in Athens. Located in Kasteli, in the interior of the island of Crete, it will replace the airport in Heraklion. It is one of the most important infrastructure projects for the island and for the country as a whole, providing a boost to the tourism sector, which is vital for the Greek economy.
The redesign and enlargement of the South Pier of Barcelona-El Prat Airport’s Terminal T1 will allow it to receive large-capacity aircraft. Thanks to a solution designed by Ineco for Aena, the South Pier of Terminal T1 will change from operating regional flights to handling international flights with wide-body aircraft, with improved quality of service provided to passengers.
Ineco celebrates a decade working for Jamaica’s main tourist airport, located in Montego Bay: most recently, on a redesign of the check-in area inspired by the natural environment –the airport is located by the sea– and supervision of airfield works. A decade in which passenger traffic has continued to grow, reaching almost four million in 2017.
The continuous growth of air traffic in the Andean country has led to a process to expand and upgrade its airports, with Ineco participating in this work as part of a consortium with the Peruvian engineering firm, CESEL, with the projects to expand the airports in Lima and Chiclayo.
Ibiza airport launched a new space this summer. Measuring 186 m2, the new lounge has received domestic and international VIP passengers visiting the island, of whom there is a growing number year on year: only in July, the airport logged 2,880 private and executive flights, a 14.1% increase compared to the same period in 2015.
Since late 2014, together with its partner CESEL, Ineco has been working on the preliminary studies for the modernisation of Chiclayo airport. Chiclayo is the fourth largest city in Peru.These analyses will enable us to determine and plan the improvement and enlargement work that aim to turn Chiclayo into the air transport hub of northern Peru and drive trade and the tourist sector built around the huge archaeological richness of the area.

They are both professionals, experts in aeronautical projects with more than 20 years’ experience, and they offer us their personal approach in different but complementary disciplines.
The Cartagena de Indias airport has grown and has been renovated to accommodate increased and farther-reaching traffic that requires larger and heavier aircrafts. Ineco has thus taken on the design and coordination of an expansion project that includes strengthening operational safety.
