Ineco is advising the government of Gran Canaria on the final design for the island’s Mobility Centre. The project is to be carried out over the next three years.
Located within the Tamaraceite transfer station, the centre will have direct links to bus (guagua) operators, taxi services and the forthcoming commuter railway line. The centre will receive real-time information regarding the island’s roads and tunnels, which in turn will make it possible to find out about any incidents and determine the location of each vehicle and the volume of traffic at any given point, along with a great deal of other relevant data. The system will also facilitate cooperation with the General Directorate of Traffic and law enforcement agencies.
